Barbara was a resident of Ludlow for 54 years. She leaves her devoted husband of 55 years, David F. Shea; her loving children, David Shea, Jr. and his wife Lynn of Springfield, Joseph Shea and his wife Margaret of Wilbraham, Kathleen Kratochvil and her partner, Andy van Lingen of Ludlow and James Shea and his wife Laura of Wilbraham; a brother, Stanley Koczur and his wife Carol of Ware;  her nine grandchildren to whom she was completely devoted: Brandon, Kevin, Amanda, Nicole, Zachary, Jeremy, Taylor, Ashley and Tyler and many other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Geraldine Koczur.
