Catherine A. Grumoli

Catherine A. (Rathbone) Grumoli, 66, of Springfield, died Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Wingate at Hampden. Born in Palmer on February 7, 1951, she was the daughter of the late James and Margaret (Barnes) Rathbone. Catherine was raised in Wilbraham and had lived in Springfield for the past 40 years. She worked as a clerk at the Bradley’s Department Store for 30 years.Catherine enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, camping, swimming, picnicking and being at the beach.

The sister of the late Elizabeth Sorrel, she is survived by her husband of 43 years, Venerdi F. “Vin” Grumoli, one son, Robert Grumoli of Springfield; one sister, Olivia Hudson and her husband Clayton of West Springfield and many other family members and friends.

Funeral Services for Catherine will be on Monday, October 30, 2017 with Calling Hours from 10am-12noon at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield followed by a Funeral Service in the funeral home at 12noon. Burial will be in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, Springfield. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Wingate at Hampden for the compassionate care given to Catherine.
