Catherine (Swierad) Wurszt

Catherine (Swierad) Wurszt, 51, passed away October 3, 2017. Born and raised in Chicopee, she graduated from Chicopee High School. She an Indian Orchard resident for the past 26 years and was a parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church. Catherine worked for many years as a sales associate for Steiger’s, Filene’s and Macy’s department stores.  She loved fashion and makeup, designed her own clothes, and loved to read the fashion magazines for inspiration.

She leaves her husband of 26 years, Jan Wurszt; her daughter, Michelle Wurszt and many family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2017 assembling at 10:00 a.m. at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield and proceeding to Immaculate Conception Church for a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Chicopee. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 p.m.
