Clara Ann “Claire” (Nalepa) Parylak, 88, a lifelong resident of Ludlow, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017 at the Life Care Center of Wilbraham. Born in Ludlow on Sept. 9, 1928, Clara was the daughter of the late Stanley and Anna (Rybak) Nalepa. She was a clerical worker for New England Telephone until she retired in 1985 and had been a parishioner of Christ the King Church in Ludlow for many years. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, Edward S. Parylak who died in 2013.

Clara is survived by a son, Raymond Parylak and his wife Rosalie of Ludlow, a daughter, JoAnne O’Brien and her husband Joseph of Ludlow, two grandsons, Carl Parylak and his wife Heather and Mark Parylak, her great-grandson, Dustin, as well as her long-time dear friend, Annette Okscin of Chicopee. Clara was the sister of Thaddeus Nalepa, Sophie Gebo and Mary Karczmarczyk.

Funeral Services for Clara will be on Thursday, February 23, 2017 with Visitation from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield and proceeding to Christ the King Church for a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Agawam at 1:00 p.m.
