David J. Opalinski

David John Opalinski, 67, passed away December 26, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center, Springfield. Born in Palmer to the late John and Cecilia (Kowalczyk) Opalinski, he was a lifelong area resident. David was a summa cum laude business graduate of Seton Hall University, New Jersey. He retired from Zero Corp in Monson. He enjoyed country rides, antiques, sitting by his koi fish pond with his dog Bella, and cheering on his favorite team, the New England Patriots.

He leaves his companion of many years, Jane Wolcheck along with her daughter, Karen Ferreira (Victor) and their children Shaun and Owen; his sons, David and John Opalinski; his sister Donna Kogut (Mark); his nieces, Kelly Goncalves (John) and Carrie Budlong; his grandchildren Ella and Kyle; and many grand-nieces, grand-nephews, cousins, and other family members and friends.  He was predeceased by his sister Elizabeth Budlong; his nephew Andrew Kogut, and Jane’s son Eric Wolcheck.   

Private services were held at the convenience of the family.
