Deborah A. (Polak) Mitus

Deborah A. (Polak) Mitus, 54, passed away unexpectedly on December 16, 2015. Born in Springfield, MA, she was the daughter of Paul and Eleanor (Robak) Polak. She was a lifelong area resident. She had most recently worked at Stop & Shop in Springfield and had worked for many years at Pizzeria Uno as a hostess. She was a NE Patriots fan, collected Polish pottery and enjoyed vacationing in Maine and Cape Cod. Most of all, Deborah loved her family. She was predeceased by her son Elliot, her daughter Madelyn and her father.

She leaves her husband Stanley Mitus of Ludlow, daughter Sylvia Mitus of Ludlow, mother Eleanor Polak of Ludlow, sister Elisa Pobliego of Palmer, brother Peter Polak and wife Victoria of Montgomerey, MA, brother Cristin Polak of Ludlow, sister-in-law Sonia and Gary Landry, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Calling hours are Monday, December 28, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield and proceeding to St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1023 Parker St., Springfield, for a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery, Indian Orchard.
