Emma G. Kuhn (nee Orszulak) passed away October 31, 2017 at IU Hospital in Lafayette, IN.  Born in West Warren to the late Adam and Mary (Szcepan) Orszulak, she was a resident of East Longmeadow, MA for many years and was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church in East Longmeadow.  She was a licensed cosmetologist who attended UMA and Westfield State and owned a salon in Chicopee, MA in the Ferris building.  She loved traveling and learning about new places and cultures and spending time with her family.  

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Raymond J. Kuhn; four brothers: Roman, Horace, Frank and John Orszulak and five sisters: Stella Wilk, Anelia Sojka, Henrietta Polack, Blanche Nowak and Lillian Starsiak.  She leaves a daughter, Melanie Kuhn, a son-in-law, Jason Chambers, and a grandson, Allen Chambers-Kuhn, several nieces and nephews, and many friends who were dear to her and her family.  The family would especially like to acknowledge the extraordinary care given to her by Theresa and Vicki in IA and Jaye and Chrystal in MA who came to be part of her family. 

Funeral Services for Emma will be on Monday, Nov. 6, gathering at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield at 8:45 followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Michael’s Church, East Longmeadow at 10am. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Springfield. Calling Hours will be on Sunday, Nov. 5, from 2-5pm in the funeral home.
