Ephraim P. Carron
August 1, 1934 ~ December 8, 2017 (age 83) 83 Years OldEphraim P. Carron, 74, of Wilbraham, died at home on Friday, Dec. 8, 2017 surrounded by his family and dear friends. Born in Springfield on Aug. 1, 1943, he was the son of the late Andrew and Marie (Munson) Gryzybowski. Ephraim was a lifelong resident of Wilbraham and was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was the previous owner of Mill St. Auto Body in Springfield, taught auto body at Lincoln Tech in Connecticut and following his retirement served as a van pool driver. Ephraim was a member of the American Legion, Post 277, in Indian Orchard, and was an avid outdoorsman and loved gardening and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elsie E. (Tobey) Carron, a son, Peter Carron and his wife Katie of Feeding Hills, a daughter, Denise DaCruz of Ludlow, one brother, Gerald Carron of Westfield, four grandchildren, Sarah and Bryan Carron of Feeding Hills and Ashley Goncalves and Madelyn DaCruz of Ludlow, two great-grandchildren, Ava and Tobey Bressette of Ludlow and his lifelong friends, Walter and Beverly Presz of Wilbraham.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 14 at 11am at Grace Union Church, 10 Chapel St., Wilbraham followed by Committal Services with Military Honors at the MA Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ephraim’s memory may be made to Memorials at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105-9959.
