Eugene J. Beaupre
December 28, 1929 ~ February 5, 2016 (age 86) 86 Years OldEugene J. “Yudo” Beaupré, 86, passed away February 5, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Springfield to the late Joseph and Laura (Auclair) Beaupré, he was a lifelong Springfield resident. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He retired as an iron worker from Springfield Steel Erectors after working there for many years. After retirement, he worked for Orr Cadillac. Eugene enjoyed horseracing, vacationing in Clearwater, FL and especially liked sipping Grand Marnier while watching the Red Sox and Patriots. Eugene was best known as "Papa Gene" to the loves of his life, his beloved granddaughters and great granddaughter.
He will be missed by his wife of 35 years, Mildred (Porter) Beaupré; his sons, Joseph Kalinko and his wife Beth Ann and Robert Kalinko, all of Springfield; his beloved granddaughters, Katie Kalinko and Kara Kazalis and her husband Michael; his great-granddaughter, Sophia Kazalis and his sisters Ida Abdow, Irene Sullivan and Jean Walker. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers Raymond and Homer Beaupré.
Committal with military honors will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services is entrusted with arrangements.
