Evelyn N. (Nowakowski) Belczyk

Evelyn N. (Nowakowski) Belczyk, 89, passed away November 10, 2016. Born and raised in Indian Orchard, daughter of the late Vincent and Elizabeth (Janik) Nowakowski, she lived in Ludlow and Springfield for most of her life. She was a 1945 graduate of the High School of Commerce. She was a faithful parishioner of Christ the King Church and was a member of its St. Anne and Rosary Sodalities. Evelyn worked for many years at the Nowak Insurance and Travel Agency in Indian Orchard. She had also worked at Insurance Company of North America, Travelers Insurance and Aetna Insurance. She was a member of the Polish Junior League. Evelyn took great pride in taking care of her home and yard, taking care of her flowers and gardening.

She was predeceased by her parents and her husband Frank A. Belczyk in 2010. She leaves her sister, Lucy Mae Ashe of Springfield, her niece Elizabeth Ashe Surprise and her husband James of West Springfield and many cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 with Visitation from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield and proceeding to Christ the King Church for a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery.
