Mr. Frank Carter was a good friend, mentor, and colleague to so many students, teachers and artists in our community. He was appreciated for his creative and important work as an exemplary visual artist and art educator. He will be missed, and remembered fondly.

It truly is hard to believe that such an amazing man like him is now gone. Whenever you see people like him, the thought of death never crosses your mind; you believe that they'll always be there in your life for a long time. And, in a way, they will. Frank had always came to the aid of young, passionate art students. I remember the time we spent in his art studio working on a small unfinished canvas I had, wanting to paint over what was already unfinished. The most valuable lesson I learned from him was to be persistent, as he believed that great art could still come out of anything, as long as you kept working on it. Thank you Frank Carter for everything you've done. My condolences go out to the members of the Carter family.

An amazing man. To me, he was like a giant French Leprechaun. He always had a sparkle in his eyes, great stories to tell, with a spring in his step and at the ready and fully capable of all kinds of shenanigans. He was clever, gifted , full of life and light. He was so so very funny. An undying loyalty and respect for family. A heart of pure gold. I will be forever grateful for the love he has shown to our father and family over these many years. Go rest high on that mountain.
We will miss you dearly Frankie.
Deepest sympathies and prayers to Anne and family.
