Helen V. MichalczykJune 22, 1918 ~ May 30, 2017 (age 98)
Helen V. (Kszepka) Michalczyk, 98 of Wilbraham, died at home, Tuesday, May 30, surrounded by her family. Helen was born in Three Rivers section of Palmer on June 22, 1918, the daughter of the late Joseph & Helen (Sakowski) Kszepka. She was raised in Palmer and graduated from St. Peter & Paul Grammar School and Palmer High School. She later lived in Indian Orchard until she moved to Wilbraham in 1954. Helen previously worked for FND Tool, and the American Bosch. She was very proud of her Polish heritage and enjoyed gardening her flowers and vegetables, as well as sewing.
Helen was the wife of the late Theodore Michalczyk, the mother of the late Michael Michalczyk and Gail Vogel, and the sister of the late Walter, Henry, Joseph, Theodore and Edward Kszepka, Mary Zisk and Josephine Holbrook. She is survived by her four grandchildren, Michael Vogel, Gary Vogel and his wife Reba, and Jessie and Jordan Michalczyk, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Helen will be on Friday, June 2, with Calling Hours from 9:30am-11am at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Service, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield with a Prayer Service in the funeral home to follow at 11am.
