Kevin R. Byrne, Sr.

Kevin Roy Byrne, Sr., 63, passed away September 24, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Springfield to the late Neal and Genevieve (Dias) Byrne, he was a resident of Indian Orchard for over 30 years before moving to Monson in 2005.

Kevin worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the court system for 40 years, retiring as the Chief Housing Specialist for the Western Division of the Housing Court. Kevin was also a master electrician.

He leaves his wife of 45 years, Michele (Casino) Byrne; his children, Kevin Byrne, Jr. and his wife Susan of Springfield, Shawn Byrne of Monson and Laurie Stewart and her husband Matthew of Monson; 2 grandchildren, Kevin and Katherine; 5 siblings: Neal Jr., David, Frank, Mark and Genevieve; and many other family members and friends.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2015 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield. A Memorial Service celebrating Kevin’s life will follow, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
