Lottie T. “Wladzia” (Zieba) Kruzel, 61, died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016 at the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Born in Medrzechow, Poland on April 5, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Stanislaw and Janina (Niejadlik) Zieba. Wladzia came to this country in 1978 and lived in Wilbraham for 22 years until she moved to Chicopee last year. She worked as an assembler for the Hasbro Company of East Longmeadow for 38 years. A devout catholic, Wladzia was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Indian Orchard where she served as a volunteer at many church picnics and festivals. She was a member of the Polonia Club, and a member and current president of the Polish National Alliance, Lodge 3276, and also served as a delegate to Camp Stanica in Bondsville.
Wladzia is survived by her husband of 34 years, Joseph Kruzel, four children, Maria Kruzel of Springfield, Thomas Kruzel and his wife Charity of Monson, Michael Kruzel of Chicopee and Teresa Kruzel of Springfield, one sister, Jeannie “Gienia” Zapala and her husband Richard of Ludlow, one grandson, Lucas Kruzel, and her four nieces and nephews, Edward, Christopher and Adrian Zapala and Ania Gomes.
Funeral Services for Wladzia will be on Tuesday, Aug. 9 at 10am from Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Indian Orchard followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Church, 25 Parker St. at 11am. Burial will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery, both in Indian Orchard. Calling Hours will be on Monday from 5-8pm in the funeral home.
