Ned Earl Hayward, Jr.

Ned Earl Hayward, Jr., 84, passed away May 23, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield.

Born in Holyoke, MA, he was the son of the late Ned E., Sr. and Rose (Lauftus) Hayward and was a lifelong area resident. Ned proudly served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War and was a 50 year member of the Holyoke Elks Lodge 902. He worked for Reidy Oil and retired from Whiting Energy Fuels as an HVAC oil burner serviceman. He loved dogs, feeding the birds in his yard and doing puzzles.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers James and William and his sisters Myrtle and Grace. He leaves his wife of 64 years Janet T. (Reidy) Hayward, his sons Ned Hayward III and his wife Francine and Mark Hayward and his wife Tanya; his daughters Debra Hayward and Cheryl Hajdamowicz and her husband Paul; his grandchildren Sophia Hayward, Megan Lafrenaye, Teresa Hayward, Jenna Hajdamowicz, and Krista Hajdamowicz and his great grandchildren Eric and Nico Lafrenaye. There are no services at this time.
