Patricia M. (Ducharme) Scala

Patricia M. “Tricia” (Ducharme) Scala, 59, passed away January 21, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born in Springfield, she was a lifelong area resident and lived in Chicopee for the past 26 years. Tricia worked as a supervisor for the Springfield District Court for 39 years.

She leaves her husband of 26 years, Michele Scala and her children, Stephen and Darcy Scala, all of Chicopee; her brothers, Dan Ducharme (Sharon) of Feeding Hills, Michael Ducharme and Christopher Ducharme, both of Springfield; her sisters, Kathleen Ducharme and Maureen Ducharme, both of Indian Orchard; her mother-in-law, Filomena Scala; her sister-in-law, Angela Scala; her brothers-in-law, Carmieno Scala (Rosa), Franco Scala (Yvonne) and Aniello Scala; 2 nephews, Josh and Kyle Ducharme; her cousins William Cullinan (Terry) and Mary Cullinan and many other family members and friends.

She was predeceased by her mother, Marguerite (Carney) Ducharme; her father-in-law, Ferdinando Scala; a niece, Filomena Maida and a brother-in-law, Salvatore Scala.

Calling hours will be Friday, January 27, 2017 from 4-7pm at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Indian Orchard. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 28, 2017 assembling at 9am at the funeral home and proceeding to Holy Cross Church, 221 Plumtree Rd., Springfield for a funeral mass at 10am. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
