Philip R. Blais

Philip R. Blais, 75, passed away April 9, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Hartford, CT to the late Valerie (Caron) Blais-Gaudette, he was a lifelong Springfield resident and a communicant of Our Lady of Sacred Heart Church. A veteran of the US Navy, he proudly served aboard the aircraft carrier, USS Ranger. Philip loved his summer vacations at Hampton Beach, NH and was a huge NY Yankees fan. He was predeceased by his mother; a sister, Linda Tetreault and brothers Ronald and Robert Blais.

He leaves his wife and best friend of 57 years, Gloria (Ochenkowski) Blais; son Mark Blais and husband Mark Fowles of Bloomfield, CT; daughter, Pamela Cormier and husband Peter of Springfield; granddaughters, Danielle Cormier and Heather Foucher and husband Cory, all of Springfield; great-grandson, Dominic Foucher, and his special aunt, Sandra Swift of Three Rivers.
