LUDLOW – It is with great sadness the family of Robert Drozdowski announces his sudden death on Good Friday, April 3, 2015. Bob grew up in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield. He graduated from Springfield Trade School, where he played varsity soccer. Bob was co-owner of Orchard-Palmer-Monson Auto Parts. Bob loved going to work from the time he was a child ripping up boxes till the time he retired 53 years later. Bob was an avid sports fan who loved his Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics and most of all the UConn Husky girls basketball team. He was a communicant of Christ the King Church in Ludlow where he was an active member of the Men's Guild. He was a caring person always willing to help anyone. Family was the most important thing to him and he took great pride in all their accomplishments. He was a larger than life person who will be tremendously missed by all who loved him. Bob loved his gardens and lawn, and would spend hours to have the greenest lawn and the most beautiful blooms. He enjoyed spending time in Las Vegas and Florida. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy, his sons: Rob and his wife Sara of Washington, DC; Kevin Drozdowski and his wife Jill of South Hadley; and two beloved grandsons Jacob and Zachary of Washington, DC. A brother Steve and his wife Diane of Ludlow, niece Kathy and her husband Dan Holmes and their daughter Genevieve; nephews David Drozdowski and his wife Gina, Travis Wheeler and his wife LeeAnne and their son Ethan. Brother-in-law Harry Wheeler of Lancaster, CA, beloved lifelong family friend Judy DeCosmo, and his Havanese dog Callie. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 8th, assembling at 9 am at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services and proceeding to Christ the King Church in Ludlow for a 10 am mass.
