Ronald J. Motyl

Ronald “Ron” Joseph Motyl, 65, passed away November 17, 2015 at home. Born in Springfield to the late Theodore and Barbara (Chabot) Motyl, he was a longtime Wilbraham resident. He worshipped at Evangel Assembly of Wilbraham and volunteered at the church’s Food Pantry.

Ron was a 1968 graduate of Cathedral High School and served in the Army National Guard for 6 years. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing, woodworking, coin collecting and his favorite band, Jethro Tull.

Ron leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 43 years, Linda (Holden) Motyl and his beloved children, Julie Sokol and her husband Michael, Jaime Motyl, and Jacob Motyl and his wife Laura. He was “Papa” to his loving grandchildren, Danielle Pedersen, Austin Pedersen, Nathan Sokol, Jacob Motyl, Alex Pedersen, and Sydney Motyl. He also leaves his brothers, Richard, Robert, and David Motyl and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
