Roslyn (Williams) Ryan
December 16, 1942 ~ November 9, 2017 (age 74) 74 Years OldRoslyn “Roz” (Williams) Ryan, 74, of Springfield died Thursday, Nov. 9 at the Baystate Medical Center. Born in Ludlow on Dec. 16, 1942, she was the daughter of the late John and Barbara (Bailey) Williams. Roz was a Springfield resident for most of her life and worked at Buxton’s in Agawam and at Bennett Turkey Farm in Wilbraham. She was a beloved mother, “Grama Rose”and “geegee”.
The wife of the late John E. “Jack” Ryan, Sr., she is the mother of six, the late David Ryan who died in 2010, Cheryl Ryan and Ray, John “Jackie” Ryan, Jr. and Michelle, Tammy Harrington and Frankie, Miranda Ryan and Donnie, all of Springfield and Tanner Ryan and Brittany of Three Rivers. Roz is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, four brothers, Donald Williams of Orlando, FL, Robert and Warren Williams both of Agawam and Roger Williams of Springfield, three sisters, Laura Ryan, Linda Discawicz and Judy Brodeur all of Springfield, as well as many nieces, nephews, her son-in-law Donald Derby and her very special lottery friend, Tyrone Gaynor, Jr.
Calling Hours for Roz will be on Thursday, Nov. 16 from 5-7pm at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield with a Funeral Service to follow in the funeral home at 7pm. Burial will be private at a later date. For additional info., please visit www.nowakfuneral.com
