Scott H. Belanger

Scott Henry Belanger, 31, died unexpectedly on March 8, 2018. Scott was born in Springfield on June 20, 1986, the son of Patricia (Mitas) Sansoucy and Gerard Belanger. He grew up in Indian Orchard, was a Belchertown resident for over 16 years and attended Belchertown High School. Through his family’s business, Armand Belanger & Son in Indian Orchard, Scott learned how to work with heavy equipment and enjoyed helping his late grandfather with many construction projects. He took great pride in working on his truck. Scott will be remembered as a free spirit and will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.

He leaves his loving parents, his mother, Tricia Sansoucy and her husband Jeff of Belchertown and his father, Gerard Belanger of Springfield; his maternal grandmother, Mary Mitas of Indian Orchard; his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Belanger of Springfield; an aunt, Theresa Mitas of Blanford; cousins Erin Mullen and Kara Shannon and her children Kaity and Nicholas; and also many other family members and friends.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Henry Mitas; paternal grandfather, Armand Belanger and an aunt, Christine Mitas.
