Arthur Thomas Brown, 46, passed away May 29, 2018 after a courageous battle with melanoma. Born in Springfield to Peter K. and Michelle L. (Douglas) Brown, he was a lifelong Springfield resident. Artie was a dedicated umpire for John L. Sullivan Youth Baseball for many years. He also spent many summers being the representative umpire for local teams at Cooperstown Dream Park in Cooperstown, NY.
He leaves his parents, Peter and Michelle Brown of Springfield; his daughters, Kayla Brown and her fiancé Daniel Frye and Olivia Dutton and her husband Vincent; his grandmother, Marion Brown; 2 sisters, Christine Magnani and her husband Joseph and Jennifer Carlson and her husband James; nieces and nephews: Jack and Emma Magnani and Elayna and Nathan Carlson and also his aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members and many friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Thomas P. Brown and David and Emma Douglas.
