Dorothy A. Belanger

Dorothy A. (Sheppard) Belanger, 84, of Springfield, died at home on Sunday, June 23, 2019. Born in Springfield on Oct. 3, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Joseph S. and Bertha (Wiktor) Sheppard. A lifelong resident of Indian Orchard, Dorothy co-owned, along with her husband, the Armand Belanger & Son Construction Company. She had previously worked as a teacher’s aide for the City of Springfield. Dorothy had done volunteer work for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Baystate Medical Center as well as other charity work for various organizations in the Ware and Hardwick area.  

She was predeceased by her husband, Armand J. Belanger who died in 2001, and her grandson, Scott H. Belanger who died in 2018. She is survived by her son, Gerard Belanger of Springfield.
