Helen Jean (Urban) Marczyk, 85, passed away peacefully at home on March 12, 2019. Born in Ware, MA, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Helen (Czupryna) Urban. Helen grew up in Ware and was an Indian Orchard resident for the past 60 years. She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church. She worked for 38 years, until age 80, as a cashier at Big Y in Palmer. Helen enjoyed gardening and planting flowers, cooking, shopping, and trips to Maine, but most of all she loved spending time with her beloved daughters, grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Joseph, Michael, Chester and Theodore and her sister Wanda.
Helen leaves her husband of 63 years Theodore J. Marczyk; her daughters Patricia Dearing of Indian Orchard and Kathleen Gagliarducci and husband Jerry of Wilbraham; her grandchildren, Jennifer Dearing, Joseph Flebotte, Jessica Flebotte and Christopher Gagliarducci; her great- granddaughter Julia Helen Flebotte; her brother Frederick Urban and wife Edna of Ware; her sister-in-law, Evelyn Urban of Auburn and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 18, 2019 assembling at 10:00 a.m. at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Indian Orchard and proceeding to Immaculate Conception Church, 25 Parker St., Indian Orchard for a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Calling hours are Sunday, March 17, 2019 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial is private and at the convenience of the family.
