Helen Starczewski, 94, of Wilbraham, died Saturday, May 13, 2017 peacefully, in comfort and surrounded in love with her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Theodore in 2009 and her brother Stanley Orszulak in 2011.  She is survived by her son Daniel Stark, her daughter Sandra Starczewski, and her daughter-in-law Kathleen Stark.  She leaves eight grandchildren: Aleksandra, Andrew, Sam, Stephen and Thomas Stark, and Dominic, Naomi and Jasmin Bernard. She also leaves three great grandchildren, Samantha and Abigail Ladaute and Jack Stark along with extended family members.

Helen was a lifetime resident of Wilbraham. As a young woman she worked at Westinghouse and the Springfield Armory, but the majority of her career was in banking service until her retirement from Bay Bank in 1995.

Helen lived a full life. She was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church where over the years she did volunteer work and sang in the choir. Helen had many social activities throughout her life including memberships in various community centers, card and cribbage clubs, bowling leagues and social clubs such as the PAV Axilliary Club and Polanie Club. She sang Polish songs on the radio during the WWII Era.  She travelled whenever she had the opportunity. Family and friends were Helen's delight and passion. In addition to socializing, she enjoyed gardening, sewing, and reading to her hearts content. Prayer was an integral part of her day.

We will remember her kindness, her warmth, her love for life, family and friends, but she will be remembered most for her elegance and grace.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 17 at 8:30am to 10:30am at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, followed by a mass at the Immaculate Conception Church at 11am.  Interment is at St Aloysius Cemetery, Indian Orchard.

If you wish donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

Helen leaves us rich in memories of her.
