Jan Wnuk, 58, passed away July 3, 2019 at Wingate at Wilbraham surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Medrzechow, Poland to the late Henryk and Rozalia (Lichwala) Wnuk. Jan grew up in Poland where he graduated in automotive mechanics and had worked as a volunteer firefighter. In February 1987, he immigrated to the United States and had lived in Wilbraham for the past 21 years. A skilled and gifted mechanic, Jan co-owned B&J Repair Place in Ludlow for many years.
He leaves his children, Krzysztof Wnuk of Wilbraham and Jolanta Wnuk of Wilbraham and her fiancé Michael Murray; his brothers, Stanley Wnuk and his wife Kamila of Ludlow and Michal Wnuk and his wife Janina of New Britain, CT; a sister-in-law, Zofia Wnuk of Poland; his former wife and friend, Jadwiga (Surowiec) Wnuk of Wilbraham and also many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Edward Wnuk.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 10am at Immaculate Conception Church, 25 Parker St., Indian Orchard.
