Jean A. (Gullage) Tougas

Jean (Gullage) Tougas, born on August 13, 1932 in Cambridge, MA was called home on Tuesday August 6, 2019, while surrounded by her loving family. She was predeaced by her parents, her father, Albert Gullage, her mother, Marguerite (Clifford) Gullage, her loving husband of 37 years, Joseph Edward Tougas, as well as her brothers, Robert and Gerald Gullage.

Jean is survived by her sons, John Petta and his wife Joan, and Joseph Tougas, as well as her daughters and caregivers, Sharon Bernardos, and Patricia Carbone and her husband Dean Carbone. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and her best friend, her little dog, Eddie.

Jean worked as a waitress for over twenty years throughout the Holyoke, MA area. Upon her retirement, she became an adult foster caregiver. She was a loving mother to her family and to many outside of her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family and feeding all the stray animals she came across. She was a modern day Snow White.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Western Mass Elder Care (Sue, RN), and the Baystate Hospice (Caroline, RN and team) for their amazing care and support.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, August 10, at 11am at St. Patrick's Cemetery, 180 Fuller Rd., Chicopee, MA, 01020.
