Jennie ((Szarlan)) Karpinski

Jennie Karpinski, 95, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017. Born in Indian Orchard, she was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Church. She loved her home in Wilbraham, which she and her husband Frank built in 1956. They enjoyed many trips to Florida, the Pennsylvania Dutch Country and Canada. He predeceased her in 1995. Jennie also enjoyed ceramics and quilling classes with her good friend, Helen Simonowicz. She worked for the Friendly Ice Cream Corporation, and made many friends there, as well.

She is survived by her daughter Chrysler Szarlan and son-in-law George E. Browne III, her sister Stephanie Kuc, her brother Ed Szarlan, nephew Michael Szarlan and niece Donna Maher, brother-in-law Ron Kucarzski, nephew Glen Kucarzski and his wife, Elaine, and great- nephews Mitchell and Jonathon Kuc, their wives Kalli and Susie, and their children, Haverly and Tucker.

Donations can be made in her name to Immaculate Conception, 25 Parker St. Indian Orchard, MA 01151.  Nowak Funeral and Cremation Services of Springfield, www.nowakfuneral.com, are entrusted with arrangements. Services will be private.
