Joaquim Faria

Joaquim Tomas Faria, 60, passed away April 21, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. Born  in Obidios, Portugal to the late Joao and Elvira (Faria) Tomas,  he immigrated to the United States at age 11 and settled in Indian Orchard. For many years, he worked at Facemate Corporation in Chicopee. He owned and operated Father & Son Landscaping with his son. Joaquim loved the beach and camping.

He leaves his son, Derek Faria and daughter, Melissa Wellspeak, both of Indian Orchard; his brother, Manuel Tomas and his wife Maria of Indian Orchard and also many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and his beloved wife, Debra Wellspeak who passed away November 17, 2015.

Visitation will be held at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Indian Orchard on Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 5:00-6:30 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 6:30 p.m. For further details or to express online condolences, please visit www.nowakfuneral.com.
