SPRINGFIELD – Louis Paul Sirard, 73, passed away
August 3, 2013 at Life Care Center of Wilbraham surrounded by his loving
family. Born in Chicopee to the late Noel and Anita (Cote) Sirard, he was a
long time area resident. Louis served in the Navy during Vietnam. He was a
self-employed entrepreneur who made and manufactured toys and games. He loved
sailing, had a passion for the arts and enjoyed traveling, especially to his
favorite city, Amsterdam. A well liked and outgoing person, Louis enjoyed life
to the fullest. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Frederick
Sirard. He leaves a son, Michael Sirard and his wife Cynthia of Attleboro; a
daughter, Paula Sirard-James and her husband Paul James of Jackson Heights, NY; two
brothers, William Sirard and wife Jeannie of Chicopee and Albert Sirard and
wife Barbara of Middlefield; two sisters, Jacqueline Sirard of Charlotte, NC
and Jeannette Rybak and husband Michael of Chicopee; five grandchildren,
Olivia, Elise, Alexa, and Lillian Sirard and Nina James; his former wife, Joan
Sirard of Waldwick, NJ and many other family members and friends.
Funeral
services will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 assembling at 8:30 a.m. at
Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield and
proceeding to St. Rose de Lima Church for a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:30
a.m. Burial with full military honors will follow at the Massachusetts Veterans’
Memorial Cemetery, Agawam. Calling hours will be Tuesday, August 6, 2013 from
4:00-7:00 p.m.
