Marie A. (Radway) Chase

Marie A. (Radway) Chase, 80, of Springfield died at her home on Sunday, April 21, 2019. Born in Tewksbury on Jan. 8, 1939, she was the daughter of the late  Clarice B. Radway. A lifelong resident of Springfield, Marie loved her work and previously worked at Michael’s Craft Store on Cooley St. in Springfield and also at the M.S.P.C.A. in Springfield. Marie was a true people person with a wonderful sense of humor who loved life, music, butterflies and the beach, and she was an avid reader.

The wife of the late D. Michael O’Connor, Marie is survived by her four daughters, Diane Mead of Springfield, Debra Crouse and her husband Kevin of Enfield, CT, Patricia Caputo and her husband Richard of Springfield and Cheryl Finnegan and her husband Joseph of Holden. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Amanda Bousquet, Nicole Mead, Christopher and Meghan Caputo, and Jack and Owen Finnegan as well as her two great-grandchildren, Brayden and Charlie.

Calling Hours for Marie will be held on Saturday, May 4, from  2-4pm at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield with a Funeral Service to follow in the funeral home at 4pm. Burial will be private at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marie’s memory may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, JFK Federal Building, Government Center, Boston, MA, 02203.
