Mary (Grondalski) Skrzyniarz, 91, of Wilbraham, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018 at the Reserve at East Longmeadow. Born in Indian Orchard on March 8 1927, she was the daughter of the late John & Josephine Grondalski. Mary lived in Wilbraham for over 50 years and previously worked for AT & T. Mary was a devout Catholic, whose faith was very important to her. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, and a member of many of the church groups as well as the organizer of the church’s travel club. She enjoyed knitting sweaters, baking homemade cakes and pies and canning fruits and vegetables from her garden.
Mary was the wife of the late Theodore J. Skrzyniarz who died in 2009, and was the sister of the late Stanley & Mitchell Grondalski. She is survived by her three daughters, Ann Skrzyniarz of Windsor Locks, CT, Claire Pugliese of Vernon, CT and Teresa Dooley and her husband Richard of Tolland, CT. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Garret and Erika Pugliese and Kaitlin, Connor and Kevin Dooley as well as many nieces and nephews.
The Funeral for Mary will be on Saturday, Dec. 29, at 10am from Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Indian Orchard at 11am, and burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Indian Orchard. Calling Hours will be on Friday, Dec. 28 from 4-7pm at the funeral home.
