Michael Edward Moodie, 60, of Ludlow passed away peacefully at home following a brave battle with cancer. A lifelong resident of Springfield, he considered the Orchard his home. He attended Putnam Vocational High, later received his GED from OWL, and then went on to graduate from NETTS, as well receive his Culinary Certification. He was later employed in Food Service Delivery. A die-hard Trekkie and proud member of the Geek Squad, he was a formidable foe in the game of Trivial Pursuit and Jeopardy. His passion for Rock ’n Roll shone through in his prized guitar collection, but also in the way he entertained us with his impromptu air guitar sessions.
He leaves behind a loving, supportive and patient family as well as his beloved cat. Including his long time Love and Companion Debbie Woytowicz, Daughter Samantha, Son Doug and Dear Granddaughter Izzabella, who was the Light of his life. He is predeceased by his parents Angelina and Armour Moodie, his Siblings Joseph and Lila, cherished Nephews Luis A. Rivera and John J. Michaud. Survived by Sisters Diana Guyette, Darlene Moodie and Brother Richard Moodie, all who served as his caretakers during his heroic battle.
