Michele Louise “Jerry” (Lamothe) Barrows, 67, died August 30, 2018 at Baystate Medical Center from injuries sustained after being struck by a motor vehicle while working as a crossing guard for the City of Springfield. Born in Springfield on August 24, 1951 to the late Alfred and G. Regina Lamothe, she was a lifelong Springfield resident. Michele had also worked for Viking Office Supply in East Windsor, CT for 13 years. She loved all things Disney, yearly adventures to Six Flags with her family, collecting snowmen, and creating ceramics with Connie’s Ceramics. She rescued and loved many animals. Most of all, Michele was a loving and devoted mother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband William Barrows. She leaves her children. Annette Barrows and Christopher Barrows and his wife Krystle, all of Springfield; her partner of 37 years, Donald Gingras; her brothers Ronald Lamothe of VT, Reginald “Reggie” Lamothe of Springfield, and Christopher Lamothe of NY; her sister Stephanie Shooner of Springfield; her granddaughter “Princess” Erin Washburn; as well as other family members and many friends.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 10AM–1PM at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield. Burial will be held privately at Brookside Cemetery in South Deerfield, MA.
