Paul A. Moore, 92, passed away July 24, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Arlon and Evelyn (McGrath) Moore, he grew up in Granby, CT and also lived in The Berkshires before moving to Springfield in 1981. Paul served honorably in the Army Air Forces during WWII, obtaining the rank of Corporal. He worked as a boiler operator for Stoney Brook Energy Center in Ludlow, retiring after many years. Paul was a proud member of many Masonic lodges for over 70 years throughout Western MA, including the Occidental Lodge AF&AM in West Stockbridge, MA where he served as Master seven times. He was recognized with many honors, including the Joseph Warren Medal. He was a member and past Monarch of Bela Grotto in Hatfield and helped to raise thousands of dollars for their Humanitarian Foundation, an organization that provides dental care for children with special needs. For his exemplary work, he was awarded the Dr. of Smiles in U.S. and Canada for 2011. Paul also ran many blood drives in Berkshire County and volunteered and contributed to many other charitable organizations, too many to list.

He leaves his beloved wife of 55 years, Eleanor (Jones) Moore; his children and their spouses: Kenneth and Judy Myers, Evelyn and Edward Mullin, whom he and Eleanor have lived with for 19 years, Elaine and Michael Fitzpatrick, Jeanne and Edward Stanard, Bonnie Olchowski, Paul and Cassandra Moore, Bruce and Jill Moore, Allison Toms, Melanie and William Strycharz, and Darryl Wright; a sister, Lucille Johnson and many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
