Scott F. Boyer, 69, a Vietnam Veteran Bronze Star recipient, died peacefully on October 28, 2019. He was born in Wichita, Kansas on October 6, 1950. He served as an Infantryman in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, obtaining the rank of Corporal and was awarded the Bronze Star, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Parachute Badge and Army Commendation Medal. Scott was an accomplished journeyman in forge steel manufacturing and was employed at Smith & Wesson and most recently at Storms Drop Forge in Springfield.
An avid outdoorsman, Scott enjoyed fishing and bow hunting. He also liked playing cards and watching sports, especially cheering on the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox.
He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony A. Boyer and Alice Mae (Robert) Boyer and a brother, Anthony Boyer, Jr. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 45 years, Patricia; his sons, Shawn and his wife Gina and Michael and his wife Missy; 2 grandchildren, Alyson and Phoenix; 3 great-grandchildren, Chaeli, Teagan, and Daniel; his brother, Christopher Boyer and his sisters, Karen Miarecki and Cynthia Cochran, along with many other family members and friends.
