Stanislaw Lachut, 70, of Ludlow, died at home on Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2019 surrounded by his family following a long illness. Born in Maniow, Poland, he came to this country more than 30 years ago. He lived in Indian Orchard, and later in Ware until he moved to Ludlow 15 years ago. Stanislaw worked as a machine operator at Hardwick Knitted Fabric in West Warren, and later at Birch Manor Nursing Home and the Palmer Health Care Center as a housekeeper until he retired. His passion was food and cooking for his family.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Teresa (Nowakowski) Lachut, three daughters, Hanna Wegiel and her husband Jozef of Ludlow, Dagmara Socha and her husband Andrew also of Ludlow, and Sylwia Nartowicz and her husband Krzysztof of Monroe, CT, five grandchildren, Jason, Diana, Elissa, Brian and Krystian, as well as a brother, Mieczyslaw Lachut and a sister, Czeslawa Kubat, both of Poland.
The Funeral for Stanislaw will be held on Monday, Dec. 30 at 9am from Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield followed by a Funeral Mass at 10am at Christ the King Church, 41 Warsaw Ave., Ludlow, and burial in Island Pond Cemetery, Ludlow. Calling Hours will be on Sunday from 2-5pm in the funeral home.
