Stanislawa Socha, 99, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Life Care Center of Wilbraham. She was born in Springfield, MA on October 25, 1918, daughter of the late Michal and Anna Socha. After the death of her mother, Stanislawa was taken to Poland, together with two older sisters, by her father and step-mother. Stanislawa was an infant at the time. After, Stanislawa returned back to America at the age of 45, together with her husband Andrzej and two daughters, Janina and Sophie.

Predeceased by her husband Andrzej, Stanislawa is remembered, loved, and will be dearly missed forever by daughter Janina and husband Stanislaw Halama of Indian Orchard, granddaughter Theresa and husband Dean Miner of Chicopee and great-granddaughters Julie and Natalie and also daughter Sophie and husband Franciszek Sedzikowski of Ludlow, grandsons Adam Sedzikowski and Daniel Sedzikowski, also of Ludlow, granddaughter Urszula and husband Matthew Blair of Sudbury and great-grandchildren Andrzej and Ela. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Stanislawa was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church of Indian Orchard. Stanislawa was a devout catholic. Her faith in God was unshaken. She was a fantastic cook and baker. The grandchildren especially delighted in her sweets she loved to make for them.

Stanislawa was predeceased by sisters Stefania Cita of France and Honorata Matusik of France; brother Stanislaw Socha of New Britain, CT; sister Maria Dziubina of Poland; sister Aniela Socha of Poland and sister Helena Kaczowka of New Britain, CT.

Visiting hours are Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 8:30am to 10:30am at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Indian Orchard followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Immaculate Conception Church at 11am.
