Adam J. LaViolette, 42, of Palmer, passed away on November 25, 2025, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by his loving family. Born in New Haven, Connecticut on May 25, 1983, Adam was a “miracle baby” and the first child conceived through in-vitro fertilization in New England, delivered at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Adam grew up in Palmer and remained a lifelong area resident. A machinist for many years, he worked at several local companies, most recently at E-Ink in South Hadley.
From an early age, he developed a passion for motorcycle racing that included flat track, road, and hill climbing courses, an interest that followed him through childhood and as a profession in adulthood. An avid outdoorsman, Adam loved hunting, fishing, camping, and ATV riding. He enjoyed working with his hands and often helped repair vehicles for himself and others. He had a love for animals, especially exotic species, and over the years he cared for many unique pets.
Adam is survived by his parents, John and Sandy (Aniskiewicz) LaViolette; his daughter, Isabella “Bella” LaViolette, and her mother, Deborah LaViolette; his partner, Crystal Majgier, and her daughters, Abrianna, Hannah, and Sarah; his sister and brother-in-law, Allison and Ted MacKenzie and his nephews and niece, Matthew, Morgan, and Madeline MacKenzie. He also leaves behind his best friend, Timmy Chase of Ludlow; his Uncle Duane Tracy of New York; cousins Christopher, Melissa, and Katie Tracy; and his beloved cat, Teddy.
A Celebration of Adam’s Life will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 4pm–Midnight at St. Joseph’s Club, 8 Commercial St., Thorndike, MA.
