Agnese (Palmigiani) Mancinone

Agnese (Palmigiani) Mancinone, 86, of Springfield, MA, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Priverno, Italy on Nov. 1, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Domenico and Giovanna (Brusca) Palmigiani. Agnese arrived in America on Apr. 1, 1958 and has lived in Springfield since then. Her greatest joy was being with and cooking for her family. Her love of cooking also showed in her work as a cook for the City of Springfield Public Schools.

She was the wife of the late Enzo Mancinone who passed in 2007 after 52 years of marriage. Agnese is survived by her daughter, Rita Mancinone-Panasian of Wilbraham, her son, David Enzo Mancinone and his wife Lisa Berry of Springfield, her four grandchildren; Heather Moore and her husband Ryan, Jacqui Panasian, Nick E. Mancinone and his wife Esa Ly, and Nicholas Panasian, three great-grandchildren, Ken, Michaela and Nolen, a brother Enzo Palmigiani of Priverno, Italy as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Committal Service that will be celebrated on Thursday, Aug. 15 at 11am in the Mausoleum of Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 421 Tinkham Rd., Springfield, MA, 01129. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Agnese’s memory may be made to the Shriners’ Hospital, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA, 01104.
