Alan S. Kirk

Alan S. Kirk, 72, of Springfield, died at home on Friday, June 13, 2025. Born in Chicopee, MA on May 2, 1953, he was the son of the late Paul and Beverly (Plourd) Kirk.

Alan worked for the Bert Hill Moving Company for many years until he retired. He was an avid fisherman, and a long-time fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. He also enjoyed watching old westerns and going to BINGO.

The father of the late Christopher Kirk, he is survived by his daughters, Carrie Kirk of Westfield and Jennifer Corales of Chicopee, his brothers and sisters, Cheryl Ann Collins, Susanne Bettis and Douglas Vaughn Kirk all of Springfield, Laura Louise Garete and her husband Joseph of Ludlow and Tim Kirk and his wife Sheryl of Palmer, his partner of many years, Joan Marie Dunn,  as well as several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

There will be Calling Hours for Alan on Friday, June 20 from 4-6pm at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield with a Prayer Service officiated by Pastor Juan Curet to follow at 6pm. Burial will be held privately by his family at a later date.
