Alexander St. Louis Obituary

Alexander Israel St. Louis, Jr., 84, passed away September 15, 2019 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. Born and raised in West Springfield, he was a longtime Chicopee resident and had lived in Ware for the last 30 years. He was the son of the late Anna (Roberts) and Alexander I. St. Louis Sr. Al served in the United States Air Force. He worked at UniRoyal in Chicopee for many years and for the remainder of his career, he worked for a lumber yard in Belchertown. Al was a former member of the Tigers AC in Chicopee where he met his wife Kathleen (Dalton) St. Louis. They were married for 26 years until her passing in 2002. He enjoyed puzzle games, following all New England sports teams, and also the New York Yankees.

Al was a loving and devoted step-father to Carol Chenevert and her husband Leo of Ware, David Sepanek of Ludlow, John Szczepanek and his wife Martha of Ludlow, and the late Lawrence Szczepanek. He also leaves many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Interment with military honors will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 9:00AM at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services is entrusted with arrangements.
