Angie (Walthers) Redondo passed away on May 28, 2026. She was born on January 25, 1952, in Phoenix, Arizona, one of eight children of the late Richard and Frances (Silvas) Walthers. Raised in Phoenix, Angie made her home in Springfield, Massachusetts, where she lived for the past 38 years.
Angie worked for 11 years as a floral processor at Longmeadow Flowers before retiring in 2015 from the Springfield Public Schools, where she served as a bus monitor. While she took great pride in her work, the role she cherished most was that of grandmother. A hardworking and devoted woman, Angie always kept busy. She found joy in tending her garden, preparing meals for family and friends, and spending time with those she loved.
She leaves her sons, Frederick and David Redondo, both of Springfield; her beloved grandson, Frederick B. Redondo; a brother, Tony Walthers and his wife Estela and a sister, Martha Mendez, all of Phoenix, AZ; along with many beloved nieces and nephews, other extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Freddie Redondo; and her brothers, Richard, Jack, Freddie, Robert and Frank Walthers.
All services are private at the convenience of the family.
