Anthony J. Kempesty, 81, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was born and raised in Three Rivers, the son of the late Joseph and Adele (Cebula) Kempesty. Tony graduated from Palmer High School and the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston and went on to obtain his Bachelor’s Degree from Syracuse University. For 6 years, he served as a reservist for the U.S. Air Force and worked for many years at Northeast Atlantic. A faithful communicant of Christ the King Church in Ludlow, he was a member of its Men’s Guild. Tony enjoyed taking his family on his boat, and also golfing, fishing, and the RC race cars.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Marilyn (Bergdoll) Kempesty on May 2, 2024, whom he was married to for over 55 years. He is survived by his children, Deborah Lukas and her husband Jeffrey of Palmer and Anthony Kempesty and his wife Laura of Ludlow; his beloved grandchildren, Gabriella and Ashley Lukas; a sister-in-law Nancy Jay and her husband George, as well as several nephews, niece, and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024 from 4-7pm at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Indian Orchard. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 assembling at the funeral home at 9am and proceeding to Christ the King Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am. Burial will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery.
