It is with heavy hearts that the family of Brian S. Murphy, 63, announces his unexpected passing on November 9, 2025, at Baystate Medical Center, surrounded by his loving and devoted wife and three beautiful daughters. Brian was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, on November 10, 1961, the sixth of seven children of the late Thomas Murphy and Victoria (Nowak) Murphy. A 1979 graduate of Minnechaug Regional High School in Wilbraham, MA, Brian met the love of his life, Sheila Levakis, during those years. The two were married in 1986 and shared 39 wonderful years together. They built their home in Hampden, MA, where they raised their three beloved daughters.
Brian was a hardworking, honest, and successful businessman. For 37 years, he owned and operated Pro Auto Air, where he earned a reputation as a top-notch mechanic and trusted professional. His business thrived—even through difficult times—thanks to his competence, reliability, and genuine devotion to his customers.
Above all, Brian was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. He was a true family man who adored his daughters—they were his pride and joy. He was also blessed with three precious grandsons and often joked that he had “finally gotten his boys.”
Brian is survived by his loving wife, Sheila (Levakis) Murphy; his three daughters, Tara and her husband Stephen, Emily and Cameron, and Kayla and her fiancé Kyle; and his three cherished grandsons, SK, Bennett, and Murphy. He is also survived by his brothers Patrick and Joe, his sister Barbara, and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Brian was predeceased by his brothers Butch, Gary, and Michael.
In honor of Brian’s wishes, there will be no formal wake or funeral services. Family and friends are instead invited to join in a Celebration of Life on:
Sunday, November 16, 2025
12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Knights of Columbus
236 Main Street, Somers, Connecticut
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Brian’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
Brian will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness, humor, and unwavering love for his family.
