Bruce W. Benjamin, 68, of Ludlow passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 21st after a long battle with stubbornness and a touch of diabetes. Born in New Britain, CT on June 20, 1955, he was the youngest son of the late Leon and Jeannette Benjamin. Bruce grew up in Windsor Locks, CT and was a graduate of A.I. Prince Technical High School in Harford, CT. He was a retired truck driver with an impeccable driving record with extensive specialty licenses. He proudly worked for various carriers in the area, driving from cross country and throughout the New England region.
Bruce is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of forty-five years, Joanne; his three daughters Roxanne (Jeremy) Corneau of Ludlow, Brittany Benjamin of New Jersey, and Ashlyn Benjamin also of Ludlow; his cherished grandson, Luke Corneau; his brother Andrew Benjamin and his wife Chela of Fresno, CA and his favorite Aunt Pam Barksdale of Enfield, CT.
Besides his parents, Bruce was sadly predeceased by his sister Linda, and his brothers Gary and Eugene.
Bruce will be fondly remembered for his unwavering love and support for his family, his passions for the Boston Red Sox, rides on his HD motorcycle, the Beatles and his hatred for Yoko Ono, the Mets and anyone who parked in his driveway.
Burial will be held privately at the family’s request. Expressions of sympathy in Bruce’s memory can be made to the American Diabetes Association, or to theLudlow Ambulance Fund. To offer online condolences to the family, please visit www.nowakfuneral.com.
