Carole Rivera Obituary

Carole Ann (O’Brien) Rivera, 79, of Springfield, passed away August 31, 2021 at Sixteen Acres Healthcare Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Springfield, MA on October 18, 1941 to Bruce and Mary Ann (Racicot) O’Brien and was a lifelong area resident. Carole worked as a school bus driver for 25 years and was co-owner of former The Rabbit Hutch with a friend. She was also an active parishioner of Our Lady of Sacred Heart Church. Carole loved to sing, cook, and visit with her friends.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Raymond Rivera of Springfield; her sister, Karen Hansen and her husband Maurice of Springfield; and her nephews, Waren Smith of Vermont and Brien Hilton of Massachusetts. She was predeceased by her husband, Ramon Rivera on March 2, 2017 and her parents, Bruce and Mary Ann (Racicot) O’Brien.
