Cecelia J. Bloniarz died on January 3, 2021 at East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing Center. She was born in Adams on June 3, 1927, the daughter of the late Augustine and Julia (Gawlak) Gancarz. She attended schools in Adams and was a communicant of Saint Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Bloniarz whom she married on August 3, 1946. Together, they were the operators of Hedge and Mathes Construction Equipment of Westfield and Warner and Swasey Co. in West Springfield. She was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church in Westfield and Saint Stanislaus Kostka Church of Adams. Her interests included gardening, cooking, sewing and camping.
She is survived by three daughters: Theresa Lamb of Westfield, Helen Peitler (Edward) of Front Royal, VA, Emilia Bloniarz of Springfield and a son Edward Blain (Laurie) of Harpswell, Maine; one sister, Helen Michalski of Pittsfield; six grandchildren, Betsy Lamb Fenyes, Keith Peitler, Seth Peitler, Julia Bloniarz, Edward Bloniarz and Matthew Bloniarz; twelve great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six sisters, Katherine Bienek, Blanche Gebrowski, Adella Czubryt, Stacia Krzeminski, Rose Colley, Wanda Kieltyka and three brothers John, Walter, and Alfred Gancarz.
A private mass celebrating her life will take place at a later time as will a graveside service. There will be no calling hours. Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, Indian Orchard, is in charge of arrangements.
