Christopher John Pasay, 49, passed away June 30, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center due to complications from COVID-19. Born in Springfield on April 8, 1971, he was a lifelong Springfield resident. A 1989 graduate of Central High School, he went on to earn a degree from Springfield Technical Community College. Chris was an analyst for C&S Wholesalers for over 25 years, working throughout their various locations. He was a committed volunteer for Griffin’s Friends. His new Harley-Davidson motorcycle allowed him to enjoy rides in the open spaces with friends. Chris was a devoted father, husband, and friend to many. Good times were always had at the many summer gatherings at his home. He will be remembered as a loving and selfless person who was always there for others.
He leaves his devoted wife of 24 years, Lisa Pasay and his cherished children Joseph and Katherine Pasay, all of Springfield; his father, Donald Pasay and his wife Beverly of Springfield; his mother Sharon Powell-Pasay of Westfield; his brother Michael Pasay and his wife Danielle of Stafford Springs, CT; his sister Dawn Doherty of Westfield; his beloved aunt Ilona Tower of Springfield; his nieces Leah Pasay, Amber Pasay, and Lee Ann Doherty; his nephew Jase Pasay; his mother-in-law Linda Mazza and her husband Tom of Agawam; his father-in-law Roger Pease and his wife Noel of CT; his good friends Shawn Flanagan of Ludlow and Jason Picard of Ludlow along with many other family members and friends.
A public walk through visitation will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2020 from 12-3pm at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield. (Guests are required to adhere to state guidelines requiring no contact, social distancing, and wearing face masks.) Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 20, 2020 assembling at 10am at the funeral home and proceeding to Our Lady of Sacred Heart Church, 405 Boston Road, Springfield for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
