Clarence R. “Ralph” Crane, 96, a former 70 year resident of Springfield, died at the home of his son in Monson on May 18, 2023. Born in Stafford Springs, CT on March 11, 1927, he was the son of the late John and Ethel (Davis) Crane. Ralph was a Navy Veteran of WWII, and served with the Seabees in the Pacific Theatre from 1944-1946. Ralph worked as Railroad Inspector until he retired. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Springfield, which was his spiritual home for many years.
Ralph was predeceased by his wife, Geraldine (Kelliher) Crane. He was the youngest of ten children, all who predecease him. He is survived by his son, Richard Crane and his wife Kathryn, “Kathy”. He is “Pappy” to his five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held privately by his family.
